How Nimbus works

Nitrogen adapts.
Oil controls.

Compressed nitrogen acts as a naturally progressive spring. It remains supple over small inputs and becomes increasingly resistant as compression builds. Hydraulic oil controls compression and rebound through calibrated internal flow. Both functions respond together, through physics, without waiting for an electronic instruction.

Progressive by physics

Compressed nitrogen increases its resistance as its available volume decreases. The response changes naturally with the movement and load.

Controlled by flow

Hydraulic oil moves through calibrated internal passages to control compression and rebound, absorb vibration and manage impact energy.

One architecture, no guesswork

Spring behavior and damping work together inside the system. No external clickers, no mismatched settings and no electronic control layer.

Built for the thousandth impact

The response should last as long as the journey.

Nimbus is engineered to limit heat buildup and maintain a stable response through repeated impacts, long corrugated stages and demanding duty cycles.

Operating temperature range

From arctic cold to sustained desert heat. Aluminum 6082 bodies dissipate heat under extreme use, while the complete hydraulic system is engineered for the full range.

Every unit pressure tested

Each unit is pressurized to 50 bar and submerged underwater for 48 hours before it leaves the workshop. No sampling, no exceptions.

In an oleo-pneumatic system, changing gas pressure adjusts both spring rate and damping force simultaneously, keeping their ratio mathematically correct. No mismatched setups. No user error.

Why Nimbus

A cloud is a suspension.

We chose the name Nimbus because a cloud suggests the smoothness we wanted to create, and because our technology relies on gas under pressure to produce its progressive response. We also simply liked the name. The more we built, the more appropriate it became.
